Jeff Stice To Perform In "A Christmas To Remember" To Benefit The Veranda

October 23, 2015 (Gallatin, Tennessee) - Award-winning pianist Jeff Stice will join The Talleys and Tribute Quartet to help start the holiday season with "A Christmas to Remember", a dinner and music event benefiting The Veranda.  The event will be held on Tuesday, December 1st at Bluegrass Yacht and Country Club in Hendersonville, Tenn.  A silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the dinner and concert at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $45 per person.  Seating is limited to 300, and reservations are requested by Nov. 20 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  Proceeds from the dinner and music event benefit The Veranda, a respite program supported by Impact Fellowship Church.  An outreach of the church’s ministry, The Veranda helps meet the needs of senior adults and their families who are affected by Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia and other issues of the aging process.  Activities are provided a few hours a day, three days a week at the church to allow families much-needed respite time to take care of other family needs.

The evening’s line-up includes Jeff Stice, Tribute Quartet, The Talleys and Mary Anne Oglesby.  Stice is a new addition to this year’s line-up of performers.  The award-winning pianist is excited about participating in this year’s benefit.

"Being a part of this event is one of the most meaningful Christmas gifts I’ve ever received."  Stice said.  "When I first learned of The Veranda, I thought it to be an amazing outreach to Alzheimer’s families.  I am truly honored and humbled to be sharing my music on this very special evening in December.  I’d love to see you there!"

A special highlight of the evening will be The Talleys' performance of their 2015 Dove Award winning song, "Hidden Heroes," which pays tribute to those who care for the needs of others.

"Hidden Heroes is a fitting connection, especially during this holiday season, to honor those who are giving an ultimate gift themselves by serving others," said Debra Talley, who also serves as a member of the Veranda Board of Directors, "We are looking forward to this joyous night of celebrating the holidays while also helping generate awareness for The Veranda and its service to the community."

This is the fourth year Tribute Quartet has participated in this event for The Veranda.  Gary Casto, the quartet’s manager, also serves as a member of The Veranda’s Board of Directors.

"The Veranda is a special place to us, and the guys and I are thrilled to part of such a wonderful ministry."  Casto said.  "We’ve had such a great time at the previous benefits, and we are excited about sharing music from our Christmas project with everyone."

"This will be a wonderful evening of festive music to celebrate the start of the Christmas season."  Mary Anne Oglesby, director of The Veranda, said.  "An added element this year is our silent auction.  We’ve had people from across the country donate items to the auction as their way to support The Veranda since they can’t attend the event in person.  It will be a great night for families, young and old alike, to get together and usher in the holiday season and celebrate Christ, the true reason for the season.  Last year’s event sold out, and we expect another sell-out again this year."

For more information about the event or to make reservations, contact The Veranda staff at 615-838-1207 or 615-337-3674.

Jeff And Sheri Easter Small Town cd cover

JEFF & SHERI EASTER Find BIG Ways to Celebrate
SMALL TOWN

GRAMMY-nominated Group Takes Southern Gospel Music
and All-new Recording to the stageit Platform

Acclaimed Family Group Partners with Gaither Family Resources to Launch Singin’ in the Studio Series

NASHVILLE, Tenn - July 1st, 2015 - GRAMMY® nominees and multi-award-winning Jeff & Sheri Easter hit the ground running last week with the June 23rd release of their all-new recording, Small Town, Celebrating 30 Years of Music & Marriage (Spring Hill Music).

The new release climbed the iTunes sales chart on street date, hitting the Top 40 listing of Christian and Gospel music downloads; and the project landed at #11 on the Southern Gospel chart, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

"After working on a project, writing for it and planning for a couple of years, it's great to finally reach release day and get feedback from others; and the response to this recording has been great!" stated Jeff.

That enthusiasm continued as Jeff, Sheri and their daughter Morgan gathered around the piano in their home living room in their small town of Lincolnton, GA, on the night of June 22nd, to become the first southern gospel artists to debut a new recording on the stageit platform (www.stageit.com).  The family could not wait to share Small Town’s heartwarming messages and family harmonies and celebrate the past 30 years with friends around the world via this online, "unplugged" concert format.

"We never dreamed 30 years ago that we'd be sharing a concert with a few hundred friends from right here in our living room!" said Sheri.  "I'm grateful that new technology allows us to share the timeless messages in these songs in a new, effective way."

Fans who signed up were able to tune in with any online device from any location to enjoy a LIVE, interactive chat with the family along with 30 minutes of acoustic performances of songs from the acclaimed recording.  The group shared stories about how each song was written and ended with a 20-minute encore of requested songs.

The performed songs included their new radio single, "Jesus Loves You," already the #2 Top 10 New Release nationally.  The recorded version of the song represents Jeff and Sheri’s desire to continue to try new things, even after three decades, as it marks the first time in the group’s history that they have included a choir of vocals and added a full string section to one of their songs.

Jeff & Sheri then traveled from one small town to another to enjoy a special release celebration at Gaither Family Resources in Alexandria, IN, on Thursday, June 25th.  The event served as the official kick-off and launch event for a new, ongoing series at the store called "Singin' in the Studio".

In celebration of this anniversary release, Gloria Gaither joined the group on stage during the concert and read a very memorable prayer that she had prayed for Jeff & Sheri 22 years ago during the recording of the Homecoming Series’ Landmark video.  At that time the couple was expecting the birth of Morgan, so it was quite surreal for them to experience this prayer a second time in that same room, 22 years later, with Morgan now a part of the group.

For over two decades, Gaither Studios has been the premiere location for numerous Homecoming video tapings and artist recordings.  The team is now opening their doors to an up-close and personal live concert event series held in historic "Gaither Studio C."  Jeff and Sheri signed autographs during an in-store party before the evening concert where they showcased songs from Small Town as well as some of their most popular hits.

Small Town, Celebrating 30 Years of Music and Marriage, produced by Jeff and Sheri Easter, Madison Easter and Greg Cole, features 11 songs, several of which were co-written by Sheri along with some of Nashville’s most noted songwriters.  It captures the warm, country-influenced musical style the group is known for and covers faith and family topics that have been important to Jeff and Sheri since they started the group three decades ago.

Distributed by Capitol Christian Distribution, the release is available at retail stores everywhere and also at online stores including iTunes and Amazon.  The new release is highlighted in the current issue of Homecoming Magazine, and the group’s family legacy is captured with the cover story of the June Singing News Magazine.

Jeff & Sheri were recently featured on SiriusXM’s "Daniel Britt & Friends," where they talked about the new recording on the one-hour gospel music radio show, alongside Gospel Music Hall of Famers Bill Gaither and Mark Lowry.  They also discussed the album at length with Paul Heil on "The Gospel Greats" nationally syndicated radio program.

For further information, visit www.jeffandsheriester.com or Twitter.com/@JSEaster or www.facebook.com/jeffandsherieaster.   Tickets to future "Singin’ in the Studio" events can be purchased by calling: 1-800-520-4664 or visiting www.gaither.com.

About The Bowling Family

The Bowling Family is no strangers to the Christian music world having a long list of accomplishments during their vocal careers.  The Bowling Family combines talent, sincerity and experience to create a memorable concert experience.  Their goal for the evening is to usher in the presence of God and celebrate the Christian message.  They feel privileged and honored to enjoy the freedom to honor Christ with any and all of their abilities.

The group consists of Mike Bowling and his wife, Kelly, and their daughter Hope.  They bring you their stories and songs in a way that is reminiscent of days gone by.  To watch them perform reminds us of a time when "all night singings" were the norm, and folks lined up early to visit with the singers and musicians.  As in most things, musical styles come full circle.  What is old is new, and what is new is old!!  Musically, Mike, Kelly, and Hope make us realize this.  Somehow they have created a sound that is as refreshing as the sounds of the early 70s.  Mike has often been referred to as the vocal stylist of the day; however, the completion is so obvious with Kelly and Hope by his side.  History will note that they have been true to the excellence of their ability without diminishing or distancing the listener. Refreshing!!!

About Michael English

In Michael’s autobiography, The Prodigal Comes Home:  My Story of Failure and God’s Story of Redemption (Thomas Nelson, Inc), he gives readers an honest look at the painful path that led him away from God and his family, but more importantly, he shows how God, with grace and mercy, rescued Michael and redeemed his shattered life.

"When the lowest thing that could possibly happen happens; don’t give up, because you might be missing a blessing down the road," says English.  "When I started driving my own life, as though God were like some kind of global positioning system that I could choose to follow or ignore, I turned down dead ends and dark alleys, thinking they were going to lead me somewhere."

In 2009, Michael’s life came full circle as he returned to the Gaither Vocal Band as their lead singer.  After a successful five year run with the GVB, Michael felt called to return to a full time solo career at the end of 2013.

This move gave Michael more time to dedicate to his solo tour, sharing his testimony, recording and producing.

Michael's personal journey is one that encourages people in their Christian walk and inspires many as they find their way home.

Three Bridges Weathers Texas Storms

Nashville, Tenn (June 2, 2015) Award winning Gospel trio Three Bridges made a trek to Houston, Texas for a special holiday concert.  It rained the whole week before and the area was already pretty saturated from those rains.

Scheduled to perform outside on Monday, May 25th, Memorial Day, everyone including the promoter was praying for good weather to get the celebration finished in time before the next batch of storms moved in. By God's grace, the outside tent was set up, Three Bridges managed to get their sound system in place, and a 40 piece orchestra was assembled and in place by the opening note at 11:00 AM when the festivities started.

Group manager and Baritone singer, Elliot McCoy stated, "It was a wonderful program and the promoter said it was a record attendance with around 800 or more.  We performed with a full orchestra and the host group, The Dignity Quartet.  The quest speaker was Astronaut Captain Barry E. Wilmore."

Still in God's favor they finished and got packed and ready to leave Houston the rain started and as you have seen on the news the City was flooded.

Lead singer Shannon Smith commented, "We were quite impressed with Captain Wilmore.  He is a celebrated Navy Test Pilot, Astronaut and a committed Christian.  His words were inspiring and his message was appreciated by all in attendance."

Bowling Family

BOWLING FAMILY ADDS LIVE BAND

Nashville, TN ~ Mike and Kelly Bowling are excited to announce the addition of a live band to their road dates.  This news comes as the group is poised to announce their 5th #1 song as "The Bowling Family" and their 28th career #1, collectively.  "I Know Enough" is the #1 song for December on multiple charts, including The Singing News.

Mike tells us, "Kelly and I have been blessed to have had radio support for many years.  Without radio, the seats would be empty and the bus would be idle.  Our friends at radio have been faithful and we owe them any and all accolades for this song.  Marcia (Henry) and Belinda (Smith) wrote this song when we were recovering form the bus accident.  It is extra special to Kelly and I."

Kelly says, "The seasons change, but great songs remain a constant.  We are thankful for writers that still write our style and understand what we want to say.  We are also abundantly happy this week with our new band members.  In Hendersonville, TN there is an excitement in the air!!!  In my opinion, we are on the brink of a "youth" resurgence in Southern Gospel Music, like the early Crabb Family days!!!  I am excited, and so are my girls!!"

Mike explains, "We have wanted to be that "live" group that was reminiscent of our musical backgrounds and heritage.  Kelly and I both grew up in musical families and traveled with live bands until a few years ago.  It's rare to find people that blend so well musically and personally, so we feel very blessed today!  I am thrilled to announce that my nephew, Blake Bowling, and Logan Rodgers will be on stage with us beginning this weekend!  We feel this is the new face of our family!"

It appears the Bowling Family will be one of the youngest, if not THE youngest groups on the road, with Hope age 14, Logan age 21, Blake age 21, and a very youthful Kelly and Mike, along with John Jeffrey on piano.  Additionally, Katelanne (11) and Gracie (8) are featured nightly and make the future of this family very bright.

Hope adds, "I am pumped about traveling with my cousin, Blake, and can't wait for everyone to hear his talent.  There's something so cool about traveling with family!"  Kelly confirms, "Nothing could make us happier to announce!  I believe in family and I believe in togetherness, especially in Ministry!  The addition of Blake and Logan makes me especially happy, just to know that we are giving them their first glance at family road ministry.  It seems like yesterday I was getting on a bus for the first time...with my family, with no real clue where that road would take me.  These boys are both amazing Christians with amazing talents and that's a combination that works!  To say we are excited would be such an understatement, but I will say it anyway!  WE ARE EXCITED!"

Hope adds, "Come out and see us.  You will love these these guys!"

Blake is the son of Jeff and Kim Bowling from Knoxville, Tennessee.  Logan is the son of David and Denise Rodgers from Forrest City, Arkansas.

The Bowling Family is exclusively represented by The Beckie Simmons Agency, and are awaiting their first Daywind recording, due to release in early 2015.

Wilburn & Wilburn Record New Concept Video

Wilburn And Wilburn Record New Concept Video

Nashville, TN (August 4, 2014) Award winning Gospel duet Wilburn and Wilburn have been in Nashville, TN lately recording a brand new concept video.  The featured song for this video "Help Me" is from their latest recording "Here Comes Sunday".

Being one of the most innovative groups in Gospel music this Father and Son duo, along with Daywind Records, have slated the video for release at NQC 2014 . Unlike the huge Country hit "Help Me" by the Larry Gatlin, this cut of the same title, isn't asking God to "help me", but rather asking God to "help me help someone else".

Scott Godsey of Daywind Records said "The message of this song is perfect for ministering as a concept video.  Adding to the message, the location high atop the L&C Building in Nashville this video is set to touch the heart of everyone who sees it."

Jordan Wilburn stated "This was one of the greatest experiences of my young music career!  DAD asked me if I was scared of heights on our way to the video location.  I had no idea what he had up his sleeve".

Jonathan Wilburn continued saying "As far as I can remember when traveling through Nashville, we would see the big L&C building.  I never knew I would be that close to it."

The song "Help me Help Someone" written by prolific song writer Jimmy Yeary, along with Cletus T. Judd and Gary LeVox, has already had an impact in Wilburn and Wilburn services and concerts.  "Help Me" is really a prayer asking God to help us have the strength and desire to help those that are in need.

"In need of Jesus, Love, Compassion and Mercy.  We are the vehicle of these things."  Jonathan states, "We hope this video will help us encourage and promote helping those that need Gods love to be real in their lives."

The L&C Office Building Complex consists of a 31-story office Tower and an adjoining 9-story Annex building.  The Tower was constructed in 1957 as the headquarters for Life & Casualty Insurance Company.  It was the tallest structure in Nashville and the South for decades.  The Tower quickly became a Nashville landmark with its height and distinctive neon logo.  The Annex was built in 1925 as the original headquarters for Life & Casualty.

Gold City Releases Highly Anticipated Hymn Treasury
Hymn Revival Debuts Early Fall

Franklin, TN- June 24, 2014- New Haven Records is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of Hymn Revival, Gold City’s first new hymn project since their immensely popular 1999 release, "Amazing Grace: A Hymn Collection."

Hymn Revival follows Somebody’s Coming, Gold City’s best-selling and highest charting album in years; and contains beloved hymns along with two new classics, "In Christ Alone" and "The Power of the Cross," which are poised to pass the test of time.  The record also contains older, more traditional hymns such as "Great is Thy Faithfulness" and "I Need Thee Every Hour."

Co-produced by label-mate and Academy of Country Music Award-winning musician Gordon Mote, Hymn Revival is exactly that:  a treasury of classic and current hymns refreshed and re-envisioned by the matchless voices of America’s premiere quartet, Gold City.

Mote reflects, "I'm from Gadsden, Alabama, Gold City’s home town.  I grew up admiring them and now I have the incredible honor of co-producing them.  You can really feel their energy and personality coming through as they sing these classic songs of the church."

"I am excited about this project because many of the hymns that I grew up singing have all but disappeared," says Danny Riley, Gold City’s lead singer.  "I love a lot of the new songs, but the old songs of the church have ministered to me through the years and have a special place in my heart.  We have also included some modern hymns that I know will become standards in the church."

Ken Harding, President of New Haven Records concludes, "Matching these timeless hymns with the award-winning vocals of Gold City created an album for the ages.  We can’t wait for the world to hear these hymns in a fresh, revived way."

Hymn Revival releases on New Haven Records early this fall and will be available wherever great gospel music is sold and on iTunes.

Wilburn & Wilburn Participate In Benefit Concert For Tornado Victims

GADSDEN, AL (June 4, 2014) Father and son Gospel duo Jonathan and Jordan Wilburn spoke life into Mississippi’s tornado victims in a Gospel music concert on Saturday, May 31st.  Several Gospel musicians came together and gave back to the community by offering their condolences through song.

Severe damage was witnessed in late April to parts of Northeastern Mississippi.  By way of extreme storms, tornadoes wreaked havoc and caused death and destruction.  Heartbreak and grief blanketed the area like a dark cloud.

Gospel music is known for it’s ability to warm the souls of many.  Through its touching lyrics and inspiring melodies, Gospel music can heal.  Gospel musicians wanted to bring light to Tupelo, MS and surrounding areas by putting on a benefit concert as a memorial and fundraiser, reaching out to tornado victims and their families.  Wilburn & Wilburn were one of the musicians highlighted at the concert.

"We wanted to bring light to the victims and families and all of those who were affected by the recent tragic events.  Our hope was that people would come and listen to music and be blessed," Jordan Wilburn said.

This isn’t the first time that Wilburn & Wilburn has brought aid to tornado victims through their talents.  In 2011, when tornadoes devastated the state of Alabama, their home state, Wilburn & Wilburn used their gift of music to help bring healing and peace to a grief-stricken community.

Atlanta, GA (May 21,2014) Phenomenal young talent Amber Nelon Thompson of the Nelons has won her first award and it is a big one.  On April 15th at the Absolutely Gospel Music Awards held in Smyrna, TN, Amber won the coveted Favorite Female Singer Award.

Born into a singing family, it seemed Amber's fate to join her family group, but her success was not guaranteed.  Through hard work and a great dream she has lived up to the Nelon name of giving the genre great singers.  At the Award Celebration Amber brought the crowd to their feet with her feature on the Nelons rendition of "More Than Wonderful".

Deon Unthank, President of AGM said "I believe the screams when Amber won this award were the loudest of the evening.  The crowd certainly approved of her choice as Favorite Female Singer.  This was the first award that has ever acknowledged her talent and I believe there will be many more to follow."

Amber was clearly moved by her accomplishment and dedicated the award to her late Grandfather, Rex Nelon, the gifted Bass singer for whom the group was named.  At this point both Amber and her Mother, Kelly Nelon Clark who was co-hosting for the evening, were both shedding tears and the crowd bursting in thunderous applause.

Amy Unthank, VP of AGM stated "With so many people talking about the demographic of Southern Gospel Music it is wonderful to see young people like Amber being recognized for their talent and the fans accepting them as the great artist they are.  Amber is truly one of those artists.  Congratulations to Amber."

For (original group member) Kelly Nelon Clark, singing alongside her husband (song-writer and group arranger) Jason Clark, and daughter (vocal power-house), Amber Nelon Thompson this is a full-circle moment as she reflects on the countless nights she shared the stage with her Hall of Fame Father, Rex Nelon.  Today, the Nelons’ take all the elements you’ve come to expect from the group—unparalleled vocal excellence, a sound built on the interplay between a soaring soprano and Kelly’s emotional smooth alto with an intertwining tenor, and add impeccable tight family harmony with an uncanny gift of communicating God’s love and you have a worship experience that you’ll not soon forget!

Wilburn and Wilburn

Wilburn and Wilburn Takes On New Meaning

Gadsden, AL (May 9, 2014) In a world where words often have double meaning, kind of like a Bass singer and catching a Bass on a fishing line Wilburn and Wilburn has also taken on new meaning.  For the past few years Wilburn and Wilburn has meant father and son singing together.  It seems now it means cousins playing together.

Jonathan Wilburn the father half of Wilburn and Wilburn joyously stated "It's double trouble in the Wilburn household.  It's all because there are two brand new Wilburn and Wilburn fans.  Marley Lynn Wilburn and Julia Elaine Vines have finally made their grand entrance into the world.  I never knew that having grandbabies could put such a big smile on my face."

Marley is a St. Patrick's Day baby.  She was born on March 17, 2014 at 5:21 pm at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.  Marley is the daughter of Jordan and Lauren Wilburn.  According to her dad, she came out showcasing a strong set of lungs.  Marley weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long with a head full of dark hair.  Marley is named after her maternal grandmother, Lynn.

Julia Elaine Vines made her a debut appearance just a few days before Mother's Day.  There's no greater gift than that.  Julia was born May 8, 2014 at 7:56 pm at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.  Julia is the daughter of Dexter Vines and Jessica Wilburn Vines.  She weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 20 inches long with beautiful blonde hair.  Julia is named after her maternal great grandmother, Elaine Wilburn, who is a staple name in Southern Gospel Music.

With these two baby girls being born just 7 1/2 weeks apart, it is no doubt that a forever friendship is in their future.  Will these two make a new addition to Wilburn or Wilburn, or part two of the dynamic duo?  I guess we all need to stay tuned.

About Wilburn & Wilburn
Wilburn & Wilburn, the Father – Son team of Jonathan and Jordan Wilburn are continuing the tradition for three generations.  Jonathan spent the first 16 years of his Southern Gospel Music career singing with his family, the Wilburns, one of Gospel Music’s most beloved and respected families.  In 1996 Jonathan would move to Gadsden, Alabama where he would anchor the lead position with Gold City for the next 12 years.

Adding a dimension to this group is Jonathan's son Jordan.  Feeling his call to sing Gospel music at a young age, it is a great match of Father and Son to create a great sound and an excitement that enhances any worship service.

Bowling Family

Kelly Bowling To Debut In Christian Family Movie

Nashville, TN (February 28. 2014) Kelly Bowling has been chosen to play the part of ‘Nurse Kathy’ in a feature film titled ‘Virtuous’.  The filming took place in the Atlanta, Georgia area in January of this year.  The official website of ‘Virtuous’ states that the film is "a faith-based film created to ignite women to live with non-negotiable convictions.  Convictions of faith, beauty, family and integrity."  Kelly Bowling stated "I am so excited for everyone to see this movie.  The message it contains is inspiring and the story is moving.  I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of a Christian movie with a positive message."

According to the movie’s website, ‘Virtuous’ interweaves the stories of several different women involved and impacted in and through the trial of Simone Burner, a young college-aged Christian woman.  The individual story of each woman examines the different challenges Christian women face in today’s culture, from Si herself, her mother, the lead detectives and police officers, judges, the prosecution and defense lawyers, new reporters, and hospital staff.

Nurse Kathy, Kelly Bowling’s character is described on the movie website as "a nurse whose abusive and adoptive past destroyed her self-image and her ability to connect with anyone, except for one lady, an elderly patient with a secretive past."
